Here is a comparison of the different shades of yellow. To me, it looks like you got close to the yellow used by the USAAC.

I think ID Yellow would definitely make it more yellow-ish. Unless you want to go with Lemon Yellow.

We do have to keep in mind that not all printers will reproduce the same shade as intended by the designer, but will be close as possible to it.

Rich,
The white balance from your camera is way off, I did a white balance adjustment in Lightroom. But still can't get a good view of the color from your model since there was not enough light to take the photo. Although it does appear that your printer is getting more reds in the print making the orange(er) tint. Excellent quick effort by the way.

According to my color chart, the color actually came out orange yellow, f9b000. Id yellow is actually darker on my screen. I might have to go with lemon yellow.

That is odd....ID Yellow is lighter on my screen, not by much from the original, but it is visible. See, variations. Lemon yellow may help keep the reds from turning the printout more orange.

I checked my color chart again... I had the wrong ID yellow. The difference is so subtle my eyes can't see it without squinting. I'll change it to lemon yellow.

Getting closer. The only problem ive noticed is a simple mislabeling on the strut sheet. The labeling under the outer and center wing struts should read "front rear rear front" not "rear front rear front" and the fuselage to wing struts should read "rear front front rear". The actual building is going very smooth however.

Now he's getting personal. I usually don't do stuff like this, but he's starting to piss me off.

You put my email in the forum. Now your are the "poor boy" again.

Look at your heart: you can't design a good model with formers. That's it.

You're stolen people money with models without scale and without shape.

I'm really hope you get a job soon.
Take care
The cardmodel lover.

All I have to say is if you don't like my models, fine. Don't buy them. Simple enough. You don't have to insult me.

Either someone is holding a gun to his head and forcing him to BUY the models or he's being a dick by trolling. If you're designing a tube, who needs formers, you don't need to be an expert to roll and glue a cylinder. As for scale, it's fairly simple to set your printer to print smaller/larger. This guy is looking for attention, plain and simple.

Regards

Niki Schutt

I do put scales on every model though, and 90% of the time, they're as accurate as I can get them (I use a scale calculator program). FG doesn't even design to a set scale. They do the same thing I do, make it as large as possible.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this guy probably is not a fan of FG either. :-)

Just ignore him; for every one of him there are 100 of us who say bravo! Please continue!

His first email praises them, and even compares the new Hawker Typhoon they just released, and says things were much better when I was under Chip's control at FG.

Anyways, moving on:
