Got mine last night! Not the later scheme I was expecting, but the early yellow NASA tailband version (NASA 925). NMF wings, white-over-light gray fuselage. Looks great! This could be my next build....

Mucho thanx for the design, Aaron!

Sorry. I'm kinda partial to my local air museum (Pima Air and Space), and I use a lot of their planes for ideas. This is the version they have.

I just found info on the Avro York, which was a transport version of the Lancaster. New boxier fuselage, same wings, engines, tail and landing gear.

I've got the thing half designed already. All I gotta design is the fuselage.

The York is available from eCardmodels in two versions by Lad 'n' Dad in 1:48 scale. I don't know if this matters to you but I wasn't sure if you were aware of their version.

I wasn't aware of their version. Unfortunately the Lancaster Rhino file got corrupted somehow, so I can't use my idea of recycling it anyway. On to the Canuck.

SORRY?????????

It's GREAT, Aaron. Actually, I'd not seen that scheme before. Can't wait to start churning paper out.

On to the Canuck.

Woohoo!

If you are planning on doing a Canuck, I gotta also put a plug in for that holy grail of Canadian Aviation- the Avro Arrow. Such a beautiful plane...oh, if only it hadn't been cancelled!

Hi Umtutsut, I thought you might like to see what these NASA crossovers looked like from the top.

Upcoming models-nasa-earth-survey-6-3012-800.jpgclick to enlarge
This is Earth Survey 6/NASA 926

Very similar to what Aaron did.

Good day
