I'm gonna try. I dunno how successful it's gonna be, cause there are gonna be some fiddly parts

I would think that incorporating a skewer/small dowel could help with making a rotating axle. You'd still have to make a box hinge for it to rotate through. And of course, there are those that would roll the axle instead.
