I finally got that flash of inspiration I needed to finish the Mixmaster, and it is now in the bet build queue.
I also got good work done on the A/B-26: B-26 A-26 Same plane, different noses. I'm also gonna do the firebomber version from the movie "Always" (It's a real plane in a museum somewhere now, so copyright shouldn't be an issue...hopefully). |

Nice Aaron....a suggestion for the second one which has a nose full of lead. There is an A-26 Invader here on Lackland AFB which was a night fighter and also served with a foreign country. Link to a couple shots of her: Warbird Information Exchange • View topic - Lackland AFB Bombers
I know I have shots of the same plane somewhere on my computer that I have taken in the past when my father was in town to get me on base. |

Looks like you have plenty on your plate and in the queue, Aaron, but if you ever get the yen to proceed with the Curtiss C-46, I'd love to see one in Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) markings, since I periodically jumped out of one such over Han River Drop Zone No. 1 in 1971 and 1972.
Photographer Jerry Gunner has posted couple of photos of ROKAF 78053, which was on display at the ROKAF Museum at Seongmu some years ago. Googling <C-46 78053 "korean air force museum, seongmu"> will take you there. Don |

I think that's the version I was looking at anyway. The one I picked is all black with the red cowlings and writing. Fortunately the link inclused a good shot of the nose art. I'll see what I can do.

My plate is never full, but the beta queue is getting there. I have 5 or 6 models waiting, and I keep adding more.

Very funny, Flyboy!
With regard to the A-26, you are on to a good choice. The markings on that aircraft are for A-26B-51-DL, serial 44-3287 (Buzz Number BC-287), which served with the 13th Bomb Squadron, 3rd Bomb Group, during the Korean War. The 3rd is a historic outfit (I once sat in the back seat of an RAAF O-1 that put in an airstrike by 3rd BG B-57s in Long Tuan Province, Vietnam, in 1967) and it would be neat if you produced one of their Korean War-era aircraft. Of course, the water bomber would be nice, too. Don Source for info on 44-3287: http://www.joebaugher.com/usaf_serials/1944_2.html |
