This looks like a fun, easy build. Plenty of variations too. Count me in.

I think trains could be of more interest than we realise. Modern diesels and electrics are somewhat easier to build than aircraft as they're variations on boxes on wheels and there is plenty of colour and variety in paint schemes. Also appeal for folks who don't have the space or time to build a motorised model railway/railroad but like the locos. Steamers are more complex with the wheels and propulsion gear but again can be simplified.

4-4-0 Locomotives

Hello Murphy

Thank you for considering making models of these locomotives which are all my favourites. In my opinion they are full of grace and beauty. I understand there is a lot of graphics involved but I look forward to when you hopefully release them.

Sincerely

Tom

This looks great Murph! You would almost have to do one of the most famous versions. That belongs to Matt Younkin. He does a full aerobatic airshow performance in a Beech 8- including rolls.

I'm thinking about that one. I won't be able to do all of the sponsor logos though.

Progress on the 4-4-0. I've got the coloring onto UP 119

Just need to gather supplies before building it. I need more printer ink and 8.5 x 14 inch cardstock.

There are also going to be some special supplies needed to build it. Various parts are to be laminated to black card stock and green cardstock. I was able to pick up a pack of each at Walmart though.

I also want to put in a working headlight, so I need to figure that out.

Really looks good. I guarantee I will be buying this model when done and all other different color schemes of it. Thanks for the work you have put in on this project.

My plans on this one are for UP 119, Jupiter, the General (My first ever memory of trains is visiting the General back in the early 80s) and the Texas (Great Locomotive Chase diorama anybody?).

I was wondering will you be doing both colored version of the Jupiter Blue and Red?

All of my reference photos have it blue, and I'm going on the presumption that the National Park Service did at least a little research when they commissioned their replica.
