I thought about doing some of those as gag models, except they never really explain where the exhaust goes.
C'mon, can't you make that bit up yerself.

Here's one I found ....
Ahh ... but you're supposed to have found two.
Not only was there the Airspeed A.S.39 Fleet Shadower
Airspeed Fleet Shadower
but there was also the General Aircraft G.A.L.38 Fleet Shadower
General Aircraft Fleet Shadower
Confusingly similar - but different.

? 3views - only if he pays a finders fee.

even mor of a take on something thats mainstream yet odd. the XP-40Q think of a hot rodded P-40. they actually flew one at the 46-49 Clevland Air Races too

So, Aaron...if you ever feel like taking on another airliner project, how about NASA's DC-8-72 based at Dryd...er, Armstrong Flight Research Center? Lots of reference pix out there, which I'll gladly share.

As a bonus, you could get LOTS of mileage out of the design by doing airline schemes. If there's already a DC-8 in a decent scale (e.g., 1/100 or 1/150) out there, I'm not aware of it.

Just a thought....

How about the XF-11

This would be an interesting model:

Unless a decent model already exists.
