It was called the "Landing Craft Retriever", which it kinda did.

So far research says only one was built and never used in combat.

Anybody interested? It would make for an interesting diorama with a landing craft model.
There were several pictures of that beast in an old boys book of military stuff I had 30 years ago. That pic brings back some memories!

LCC-1 Land Train

The Letourneau machines are certainly marvellous works of engineering. The LCC-1 Land Train (Sno-Train) is at the Yukon Transportation Museum.

LCC-1 Sno-Train, Overland Mk I – Overland Trains

It would be a wonderful model for Aaron to build also if he is so inclined. I have lots of photos .

I second the Higgins boat (or similar). Just needs to be at a "regular" scale.

Then again, those Land Trains, seen them in documentaries, impressive machines.

I do have a Higgins boat in progress. I just need to find more reference pictures. The 3-view I found isn't very consistent, but it gave me the basics. I can't find what the controls look like though. It'll be as big as I can get it.

I've been following Pericles' build of his Martin B-10 repaints, and it's gotten me thinking (scary, isn't it)... The FG B-10 was one of my first designs, from way back in 2006ish, which means it's 15 or so years old. I've learned a lot since then, and access to information has improved greatly (though I did have pictures I took of the real plane at the USAF museum). So, should I add a new B-10 to the pile? This time using current design techniques (formers, separate tabs, non-pass thru wings with wing spars, full gear bays, detailed engines, more accurate dimensions, etc)?

I would really like a new B10 also, I have built your original kit, which went together quite well. However an improved model would really be welcome.
