There are a few actual pictures of F-107, tail number 55120, in the red
markings with the NASA band on the vertical stabilizer. Still working on confirming NACA

It is possible the -107 never wore the NACA band. NACA recieved the airframes
in Nov '57, and NACA was absorbed into the new NASA seven months later in '58.

This is the one of the images I found. Definitely says NASA. There's another of it sitting faded and forlornly in a back lot. Found it. There's a rumor that '20 was repainted as 19 and is the one at the AF museum. Except '20 doesn't have gunports, and '19 does. I'm gonna do all 3, with '20 wearing the NASA stripe. |
