Funny how right now (4:48pm on 6/20) the P-38 is in the lead.

Oh, I'm about 3/4 through with my version of the Skymaster, but I designed it with minimal formers, only the front and back bulkheads of the cockpit interior in fact. I tried going back and inserting formers, but it didn't work. So, in order to do the Skymaster with formers, I gotta start over from scratch.

Oh, and to clear up some confusion on my part... When I think of the Zeppellin Staaken, I get this in my head:

The reason I ask is because of the few mentions of the E 4/20 airliner, which googles up as this:

Not many similiarities that I can see...

My apologies for disrupting the thread...my vote is for the big bomber type of Staaken in the top image but i thought I'd hedge my bets by tossing in mention of the four engined Staaken just in case as it has also been largely neglected by model designers in all media...

I have enlarged Marek's P-38 J to 1-33 for the Aces of Ecardmodels series....however...I am not skilled enough to create an interior for the cockpit at this time. It also needs wheel wells which would lead to a redesign of the engine pods if that were the case because the current formers in the engine pods would need to be moved and/or redesigned. So...all I have done so far is enlarged the P-38J model, arranged parts on letter sheets, and have built up a white/no markings model to ensure the formers fit due to the enlarging....so far so good.:D I am hoping to start recoloring into some AofE liveries in the next two weeks while I am out training. I have found a few things in the P-38J model that will need to be fixed due to enlarging.

Chris,
Don't you mean CESSNA O-2 Skymaster?
The only other Skymaster I know of is the Douglas C-54, military version of the DC-4.

If you do the O-2 Skymaster (oh, please, please, please!!!), ya gotta do it at 1/33.

[russian accent]Curtiss, Cessna...all made in China[/russian accent]

I'm always getting those 2 mixed up, along with Heinkel and Henschel.

Ok, I haven't seen any posts in a day or two, so I'm calling this poll closed.

So, based on order of popularity, amount of requests in the thread, and just because, next up is:

[drum roll]

the HH-3 Jolly Green Giant,

[/drum roll]

(Hope that's the right one, otherwise I just wasted 3 hours searching the internet for nothing)

Then the Cur...Cessna O-2, followed by the Zep Staaken (cause I really wanna design this) then whatever's left in a random order based on what kinda mood I'm in when it's time to select.

As for scale, I don't design to a specific scale (too much math...yuck) I just try to get it as big as I can (remember, I designed the FG me-321/323)

Btw, somebody wanna catch that drum before it rolls away? Thx
