Sweet!

So *that* is Rhino! Would it be a pain to describe the process you use to turn the 'bulkheads' into formers? I'm curious if it is a subtraction or a moving vertices kind of process.

Thanks!

Actually, I haven't figured that part out yet. Right now, I just draw the shape I want with a polyline, then use that to trim a plane. I haven't figured out how to give the formers a thickness so I can incorporate paper thickness and backing.

Wow, that's a lot of work for something that small. I was thinking your JGG was going to be something like 1/32 or even larger. If it will not have interior. How about just build boxes within the fuselage. Those pic are my 1st model WIP. I didn't built a lot of bulkhead. I built boxes to act as bulkhead. Putting the boxes together are easier and i think even stronger then placing bulkhead inside the fuselage.

That's why I did the redesign. I'm shooting for something way bigger. I haven't put the new frame on paper yet to see how big I can get it, but hopefully I can get a significant increase in size.

Is there an "Extrude" function? Once you have the shape of the formers set, perhaps they can be extruded slightly to a set "thickness" which would allow for developing the intersection slots, etc. I figure you'd have to remove the extrusions for the unfold, oh wait, the 'flat parts' don't need unfolding, do they?:o

It's looking good... the attached is an image I gleaned off the Net, I think from the Prime Portal website, of a series made of an USAF HH-3. I'll find the link/URL if you'd like to get to all of them.

Thanks! You had the one pic I've been trying to find all over the internet...the shot from the cargo area into the cockpit so I could see the step up into it.
