CONVENTION TRAVEL
Is anybody driving down from the New Jersey area that would like company and to share expenses? Been trying to attend this convention for years and will be on the right coast this time. John Oszajca Las Vegas, Nv [email protected] |

Can I ask a favor of someone?...for those of us who would love to be there but can't.
Any member, with a video camera or a camera that shoots half decent video... Give us a video walkthrough? Make a full walk around the event, stop at as many tables as possible, introduce us to as many modellers as possible, film the tables and displays... Still pics are great for detail, and closeups... but its not like being there and hearing the sounds, and getting a sense of scale (so to speak). I know that not everyone is a video editor, so I'm not asking for a big production. Just shoot one long video and upload the raw file to Youtube. or, if you want it cleaned up...send it to me (or anyone who can help edit it and upload it) Just a request...if anyone has the capabilites.

I don't want to detract from the main IPMS show, but I still think we need a show for the west side of the country, or at least closer to center. One in Phoenix would be great, at least until I can get a car.

Anyone have the e-mail address for Peter Ansoff. I'm suppose to have a table reserved, However I would like confirmation. Hate to get there and no table.
Anyone remember the table size??? Eight foot???

close and sharp pictures please
Guys
For those attending, please post close ups of the complete models and some details. Please make sure it is clear and not blurry or fuzzy. I know some think it is a tall order, but think of it as art. You want to post your best work. Cheers and have lots of fun ( wish I was there, but I am in Tokyo now ) and back into building models ( Hobby Model SU-9 Fishpot ). Isaac |

Bob M - I pm'd you the addy.
Airdave - usually Rickstef sets up a live video feed, but I can't recall if he uses a camera or his laptop. Not sure if he's attending so I can't speak for him. Hopefully someone will bring a video camera to record the event. |

Having a camera or laptop at your table recording IS a neat idea.
Not trying to be nasty to Rick...but his last "live video feeds" didn't work out very well. And personally I would love to see an actual walk around video. Like a News channel report! lol Thats what I would do if I was there. Anyone who does this would be greatly rewarded by me! with Gold and jewelry and riches beyond their dreams! Oh wait...thats my reward for creating World Peace. How about a "howdy doo and a thank you too"?

Unfortunately I will not be making the trip down to Sterling Virginia this year.
Personal and Professional commitments prevent me from attending. Hopefully next year will allow me to attend again. Rick
