I want to try and make it to the convention this year. By the time it comes around I'll be on the road, and I want to see if I can talk my trainer into taking a load out that way, then try to get that weekend off.

It's great to see the enthusiasm for this year's IPMC. If you are thinking about attending and haven't registered yet, please let me know, especially if you're planning a display. We need to get a count of the number of display tables as soon as possible, so that we can lock in the additional display room with the hotel. You don't need to pay right away -- just let me know your requirements and contact information. There's a registration form on the IPMC web site, www.ipmc-info.org, that you can download, fill out and mail, or you can just send me the information by email (ansoff at alumni dot vanderbilt dot edu). Please include your papermodlers.com screen name, so that we can put it on your conference name tag.

We look forward to seeing everyone soon at another great IPMC!

Finances willing, I'll try to make it this year. Sounds like fun. Any particular reason for Sterling, VA?

Most of the of organizers live in that area, and Dulles International is a 10 minute Shuttle ride.

Makes sense and Dulles is a great draw with the Museum! Just visited the museum last month...very impressive.

I'm gonna try. I might even set up a display if I can get enough people to build some Oddball models and bring them. (I'll probably still be in a trainer truck and won't have the ability to build my own models yet)

If I can make it, Texman, it's a date! SADLY, CRIMINALLY, the museum does not allow ANY type of camera stabilization device (read: tripod) which makes it damned near impossible to take a natural light shot.

Also, the airplanes are cordoned off making it impossible to see into the innards for detail shots. Kind of frustrating.

But, I have encountered this hurdle before and will attempt to counter it by doing some pre-convention arrangements.

Don, I will contact you offline about this. I am thinking of arranging a convention tour.
