Nice. Almost like being there... Well almost. What a great app. Thanks for the look . I'm a little jealous though.

Is it still at LeBourget? I went there in the early 80's and fell in love with it! It's so, "French!" I see quite a few modeling subjects that would look great in paper.

Thanks for thinking of us!

That's a nice app indeed. And some nice planes. The French and British had some great experimental planes in those days. Those two Leducs sure are in my top 10 of weirdest looking planes, IMHO. And like the major already said, good material for models. That Leduc 0.22 looks quite like E.P. Jacobs' Swordfish aircraft. (of which I also would still like to see a model occur one day..)

Here are some more pictures;
@ Charles, yes it's still there, I like it, they didn't turn it into an amusement park like museums do these days.
The Leduc ramjet airplanes are very interesting, they still look futuristic after 60 years
The other one is the Nord 1500 Griffon, Aaron did a model of it...

Thumbs up It is a candy store!!!!!!!!!!!

What a wonderfull place. I have been there 3 times over the years and always enjoy it. In addition to the main halls, there are a few side hangars. One that I also found fascinating is the one with the Yak-3 fighter and the I-153 Tchaika. France was volunteering its pilots to fight on the Eastern front ( Normandie-Niemen )

Also, found a Mirage 4 in a corner next to the Concorde prototype.
