If your in London then I recommend The RAF Museum at Hendon and also a trip to Duxford which often has aircraft flying around on test as well as displayed on the ground. Here's a list of UK aviation museums. Aviation Museums in England as far as maritme goes the Maritime Museum in Greenwich should please and the Cutty Stark is just outside the door!.

In Edinburgh, you could try Marionville Models and Wonderland models for kits and tools. The Museum of flight is on the outskirts, but well worth a visit. If you are pushed for time (with only 4 days, you're bound to be!) the Museum of Scotland in the heart of Edinburgh is highly recommended.
Hope this helps, Bernie |

Pollocks toy shop
Try Pollocks in Covent garden - many old and new models, a lot of theatres ( they started the 'penny plain twopence coloured' line of theatres. Covent Garden as a whole is a great visit anyway, Bailey

What about the Imperial War Museum in London? Although it's not maritime/aviation related, I thought the Churchill War Rooms also in London were pretty cool.
You better have your running shoes on...you have a lot to do!! russ..

the science museum is cool.. it has a huge hall of automotive and aviation (the rocket, to the flying bedstead!!!) and a hall of space with rockets and Apollo modules galore...
and it not either of your categories but it has a working difference engine... :o then I guess you could visit StPauls, which is a working deference engine |

HMS Belfast in London too and as you can just walk through to it from the Science Museum you may as well have a look at the Natural History Museum.I think the Tower of London still has a sizable armoury display so really you going to have trouble just fitting in the London sites! Have fun with what you do choose though.
