As a special bonus for this year's International Paper Modelers Convention, I designed a new free download model in keeping with this year's "Flying Things" theme. Thanks so much, Matt! I'll be sending out a final Convention update to the attendees later today, and I'll be sure to mention this. I especially liked the shout out to Jim Adams, since he was an important part of those early IPMCs. I'm sorry that you won't be there, but I suppose having your model is the next best thing.

We'll be doing a few things differently this year because of COVID. We will not be doing the Make-and-Take, the display tables will be arranged differently to provide as much separation as possible, and we'll have masks available for anyone who doesn't already have one. I'm also working on alternative arrangements for the Saturday evening dinner -- more information on that tomorrow or Tuesday. It still should be a great event, however, and we're looking forward to seeing everyone this coming weekend.

Here are a few images. We were delighted this year to see the return to the IPMC of Roman Detyna (Digital Navy) and the Stuart Hall School contingent with their paper re-creation of Staunton, Virginia. First-time IPMC participant Tyler Hafley carried off two prizes with his aircraft models, and Thea Hafley carried off a paper cathedral from the auction, so another paper modeler gets a start.

7. The Awards ceremony. Linda Kemp is the Chair of the Committee; Anne McCombs presented the awards. Greg Perry presents the awards that he has endowed, and also received an award for his extremely tall and very well crafted crane. I regret that all the other photos I took of the awards ceremony are blurred.

8. Jack Colin and Steve (Vanna) Brown conducts the auction. Again, most of my photos are blurred, but I will later post as many images of the awardee models as are usable. I hope other participants have some better images.
