Glad you were able to represent the paper modelling world. What is the general response from attendees when they see your work?

Great looking fleet of freighters, and impressive battalion of tanks.
Also, I think I see some "Hathaway" models in there.

I think most people are amazed at the quality and finesse that you can achieve with card.

Ships in particular have a delicacy that is not possible with plastic

Seeing as he couldn't make it - I brought along some of his models.

What a superb display - you've all done the community proud.

A couple of questions - I can see the ship's called Max and I've done a quick search but haven't found it - any idea of the publisher? Also, what's the source of the Chieftain - looks fantastic. Many thanks.

Very impressive collection of extremely well built models! I've once been part of a group of people displaying their models and the most heard reaction of visitors was that they couldn't believe the possibilities of paper/card for modeling materials. It's virtually endless. For us paper modelers it's the most normal thing in the world but from the audience point of view it's truly amazing. Very well done to keep up that magic, gents !

Thank you.

The ship is from JSC - It's probably been named after the builder

The Chieftan is in fact a Churchill, and from Fly Model

Thanks for the reply Tim. I'm probably way off beam but the ship looks similar to a class my wife's grandfather served on in WW2. As for the Churchill - I've got no idea why I called it a Chieftain, other than being flustered by having to log in half a dozen times to create a post and (eventually!) add an image! Thanks again :o)
