out of commission
 Well, Anne I can now commiserate with Your injury being a 'speed bump in your road'. I recently incurred an injury to My right hand while out on a local bike ride. I struck a curb and went down. All seemed well till I got home and noticed My right pinkie was dangling a bit; turned out to be dislocated, & fractured, breaking the skin as well. In surgery Sun 11-5-23. Will be out of commission for a few weeks, including healing & rehab. Oh well. Good to see You're getting back to the work bench again. Jeff C.

Yee-ouch, Jeff! Yes, I sympathize with your injury. I dislocated my right pinkie years ago — we can trade war stories at Convention sometime. I was surprised by the silliest things that I suddenly couldn’t handle. Tamperproof caps were a biggie. I highly recommend physical therapy if you qualify. Follow doctor’s orders and get well soon.
