It's certainly well lit, allowing you to take pretty good pictures... (which is more than I can say for Wright Patterson...)
All my best... George |

Here is a picture I took at Ft Ruckers Al. Sort of like the German WW2 ME 323 Gigant transport. Thanks for the virtual visit Murph. Isaac

Hangars 1 and 2 are combined inro one big building.
TL-Ultralight Stream, F-107, SR-71 & D-21 B-18 Bolo, and in case you were worried, they do have a complete A-10 The next building is the 390th Bomber wing museum, built around the B-17 "I'll Be Around" B-17 On to Hangar 3 QH-50 Dash, when drone copters were cool, FW-44, B-24, A-26 Looks like a Fiseler Storch, but it's actually a Moraine Saulnier Criquet, IL-2 Sturmovich, Fritz X guided bomb, V-1 Beech AT-11, C-47 & Taylorcraft TG-6, Cessna Bobcat, Fairchild PT-26 being indiscreet Douglas A-20 Havoc More in the next one Last edited by murphyaa; 05-05-2024 at 03:02 PM. |

Next Hangar, 5, I think
Bristol Blenheim (Mark IV), PB4Y Privateer, P-40, Spitfire FR. XIVe Avenger, PBY Catalna, B-25, and a mystery trainer, P-39 Airacobra I can't remember or find what this one was. Last building before heading outside is the gallery dedicated to UAVs and aerospace. I thought this was cool, Space Shuttle cockpit simulator, Predator drone, Blackhawk converted into a UAV. I bet this is an X-15 DHanners hasn't made yet (It's a mockup used as a construction guide for the building of the three X-15s that flew at Edwards Air Force Base), X-15 rocket engine. Now to head outside where the air conditioning has been turned off for the year. |

Mystery trainer is a T-6 Texan I believe. The next unknown is a Lockheed Lodestar.
Again, I reserve the right to be wrong

Great images, Murph!
I agree that the trainer is a T-6, specifically, AT-6B (rebuilt as anT-6G) 41-17246 (X-588): T-6 Texan, Harvard & SNJ Registry -A Warbirds Resource Group Site Based on the shape of the nose (and the info at the link), I would call the other mystery ship a Lockheed R5O Lodestar: Pima Air and Space Museum R5O Restoration Update Don |
