2010 International Paper Model Convention

Hi all,

Yes I am talking about next year's convention.

I just got this in an email from Peter Heesch
Quote:
Mark your calendars (22-25 October 2010) and keep your eyes open for more news on next year’s convention –– Hampton Inn and Suites, Sterling VA. We have all three rooms.
So mark your calendars.

Hope to see you there

Rick

Lil and I will definitely be there. As I recall, the main theme is things on wheels, which should be right down your alley, Rick. And perhaps Kevin will be inspired to finish the Dragon Wagon. Looking forward to seeing all the friends who can make it.

Colonel, don't forget all the new friends we are having sign up, who are local to the area.

Yes I know the theme is Wheels, I am working on some ideas and models, so I should be good to go come October

Hi Rick,
I have already put in for vacation days to attend. I don't think I'll be so lucky as to just happen to be in the area like I was last year. Tazman is planning on riding with me as well. It'll be his first convention and he's really jazzed about it.

I can't wait. Hopefully I'll be able to attend again this year.

Only one problem...I haven't even started it yet....I still have to finish the Sherman. Although 'ya never know...maybe I surprise everyone. But I wouldn't bet a lot of money on it.

Oh yes, the Sherman. Mine is skinned awaiting further work on suspension pieces. Glad we didn't pick the Scud or Dragon Wagon for our little contest Kevin. No way I'm finishing the scud anytime soon... it's too frustrating!

Greg, It sounds like were at about the same place with the Sherman build. Later today, if I have a chance, I'll start a new thread where we can post some up-to-date pictures.

This sounds really cool! Is there a website I could go to? I only live maybe 45min from there, and its near my b-day, so I should be able to get down there. Is it just wheels, or is it also planes?

Thanks guys

Barry,

You can display or see anything you want, but since last year we started to do a theme for those builders/displayers who wanted to compete.

There is a website out there, but I didn't bookmark it, I will have to go through my email when i get home.

Rick
