Local AirShows Cambridge/Kitchener Ontario

I finally found some photos from some local AirShows in the last couple of years!



I missed this past years Kitchener Show...they turned it into a costly "sit and watch" AirShow (which I didn't care for)
...it used to be mainly a "static" display of some really cool planes, with some vendors and the like.
Everyone would hang around after the show closed to see all the planes leave!

Anyway, HERES a few pics (my Flikr page) from the previous Kitchener Airport event.

I'm still uploading photos and I've got a few from another local show thats always a big hit...the Paris (Ontario) Air Show.
I'll post when they are uploaded too!

Gotta love the Mynarski Lanc. One of the last two still flying. Got to see it for the first time at the CWH show in 1990. Did a low fly-by nice tight diamond formation with a Spit on one side, a Hurri on the other, and a Mossie in the rear. The sound of 8 roaring Merlins was something else indeed.

This latest bunch is from a local Airshow in Brantford Ontario.

One of the best shows around in my opinion.
You get a little bit of everything...Harvards, Snowbirds, Lancaster, Seafire, Hellcat, Warthogs, CF-18s...
and ground stuff too! vendors, statics, etc
all for about $5 admission!!
...all you gotta do is bring a chair!

and this is how an Airshow should be!...you sit about 30 feet from taxiing jet fighters!! woohoo!!
protected as always, by the most modern of safety devices, the yellow caution tape!

I was lucky enough to see the Lanc in formation with 5 B-17's and a B-24 at one of the old Wings of Eagles shows in Geneseo years ago. What a sight! (and Sound!) Haven't seen that much heavy iron in the air since.

Photos I took at the USAF Museum in Dayton Ohio.
About a dozen or so of the more interesting photos.
