Yeah I'm pretty bummed about the whole thing. Like I said, I really like this model. I have another week of free time (yay teaching) after Christmas. I hopefully can get it going again. I just finished the FG TG-2 glider.
Next I''m going to do the FG P-51 model "Big Beautiful Doll". That's going to be a gift for a pilot back home. He used to fly Mustangs in the Air Force. |

Sorry about the mishap, was enjoying watching your build since I have one on the "to-do" stack. Maybe once the holidays are over, you can get back to it and see what's salvagable.

Willygoat, sorry to hear about that pretty plane's demise. Sounds like time to get out the airsoft guns (so says my son):D

If I can cut off the last two fuselage sections I should be okay. The wing that got crushed wasn't on the plane yet thankfully. I'm sure I'll find the small pieces I lost by stepping on them at some point. It's just wire and small bits of paper. The engine is the one that I still haven't redone from before, when I put the formers in wrong. Overall, I'm still looking at a 2-3 weeks of steady work. I just hope it doesn't look yucky:p

You got it Birder. Not written off, just set aside a couple of weeks for mental stability.

I'm not sure, but I think it was Groucho Marx who said ;

Well..... Given that Raytheon bought up as many of them as they could with an eye towards scrapping them.... and the only way to scrap them is to crush them....you could say that you've just accurately encapsulated the operating history of the aircraft in one swell foop.
