Wow. That model is...Is...Is...so realistic :o There can't be anyother gun that can surpass your design, unless you manage to pluck another brilliant idea from your belly... :P

Re: colt 1851 navy

This and your other Colt look fantastic.

It's not just the design but the textures, any chance of a tutorial on textures for meta?

I know how to apply textures but yours look so good is there something more you do?

Cheers JTF

Re: colt 1851 navy

im still stuck with the basic texture features of meta. just cant figure out the advanced tool set. for the guns i whanted photo realistic textures to make them look as real as possible. it just involves a lot of photo research and a lot of paintshop work. i might try a tutorial when i get cought up.

im glad yall like it!

Re: colt 1851 navy

I've nearly finished a meta model of a Messerschmitt Bf-108 TAIFUN. I have a Paragon style model already done, (see zealots for thread), but thought I try the same model in meta at the same scale and compare the results.

I guess my question is.

a) Unfold in Pep and the add line drawings and colour to print out.

or

b) Have line drawing as a texture in meta, unfold in Pep and then colour.

or

c) Colour line drawings and then add as texture in meta and then unfold, touch up print out as required.

Not sure which way to go.

Cheers JTF

Re: colt 1851 navy

i see. i have tried unfolding then adding textures. i cant do it.

i prefer to have everything done in meta before i go to pep. in your case i would take the line drawing add the color and create the textures to apply in meta. in meta you can see real time if the texture will work and where it need tweaking.
