Thumbs up colt peace maker released

ive been working on the colt peacemaker for awhile now. and i must say getting this one to paper has been a bit of a nightmare. i was thinking of a couple of textues but the process has been so arduous that i might just release a black and a chrome version. may just do the chrome one and work some more on the others at a later point. im allso thinking of a grip pack( free to whoever buys the gun). will have 4 barrel options(included)

Nice Texture!

After Texture mapping, How do you unfold texture mapped object. and what kind of program do you use? and do you use unwrap uv mapping?

I have many question.

Re: firearms series#7

Looking good and looking forward to having this gun in my collection.

Nurung, I believe "Nothing" use Peparuka to unfold his models.

Cheers JTF

Re: firearms series#7

Appreciate that JT Fox

but misunderstood.

I hate my English :-[

'Nothing' has used 3DS MAX with unwrap uv mapping method I think, before used 'Pepakura'

Re: firearms series#7

Looks great and glad to see another coming along! Lots of nice options here.

I want to make sure everyone understands how hard it is to texture shiny metal - its a bear!

Re: firearms series#7

nurung-i use meta to make the model and also to aply the textures. i use for the moment paintshop pro8 to create the textures. im trying to learn some new programs. textures have always been my weak point. meta has a fairly good set of uv tools built in.

i have a black version printed but im not really happy with how it looks. im gonna have to go bavk and redo it.

Re: firearms series#7

ok been fighting the black textures.

nurung in meta in the uv section you can do an atlas uv which "unfolds" the part flat, then you can export the image to create a texture off of.
