The textures look great! Your DB will be a great extension to the Luft46 fleet

Re: Daimler Benz Project "E"

fantastic works!
I wait for your next step.

Exactly, mother ship in scale 1/33 is too huge.
If I buy and built it, my bed room will change to just only Dimler-Benz's hangar. ;D

Great work!

In case that you want to sell it to customers in Germany and Austria, please be aware that due to the history swastikas (and other symbols related to NS organizations, e.g. the SS runes) are forbidden. Therefore it would be great if you would offer a second fin without swastika.

Cheers, Old Rutz

Re: Daimler Benz Project "E"

Hey Rutz! is there a common replacement symbol that could be used instead? Or is it most widely accepted to just leave it off completely?
Thanks!
Chris

Re: Daimler Benz Project "E"

The simplest way is to leave it off, another possibility I've seen on some models is just a black line to emphasize where the symbol would be found (e.g. by Heinkelmodels on his Triebflügel, cf. picture). I'd prefer the latter version.

If you wish to learn a little bit more about the legal situation in Germany, please read http://www.kartonbau.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=4410 (it should be accessible without registering).

Perhaps I should correct my statements from above: You can sell the models to Austria and Germany with the symbols. Nevertheless, you won't see models presented to the public (forums, meetings, ...). Models you build and store at home are not affected (weird situation, I know) therefore the choice between both tails would be great.

Note: This also affects victory markings on allied planes, the Finnish symbols and also the very first SPAD S.VII offered by Roman (see http://www.freewebs.com/kampfflieger/spads.jpg).

Re: Daimler Benz Project "E"

I've seen some with the "X" part removed so you are left with the outside part. Like a square with out the corners.

Hope that makes sense.

Ive seen that done. i think it looks silly. its better to omit altogether. ive added the PC tail peice, and started test building.
