yes that is the waterline. on the ohio and other of the earlier subs that had the red hull bottom, the red paint was notorious for turning greenish. i have found no evidence so far that supports the virginia with the red hull. pluss it is a very new class so i diddnt want to overdo any wheathering.

The red paint did not turn green thats just marine life (algea)and whatnot! at least I remember cleaning the gunk off the ship I was on when I had to paint around the damn waterline

I find it incredible to look at the size of older subs (like the U-Boat Type VII C) and compare them to todays Subs. I cannot imagine having to work and live (and die) in such tight spaces as men did in those Wartime Subs!!

I guaranty the man who came up with this idea never went to War in one!

im happy to say thing are going very well. im just waiting on barx2 to finish test building and then make instructions. heres some pictures of my personal build. while not perfect skill wise i am very happy with how it came out.
