I like the sory I heard from Afganistan, seems a Canadian sniper working with one of our patrols took out a terrorist with a single shot from a Barret at a rage of over 1 mile. Somebody wrote in to one of the gun magazines complaining that it was't sporting (as if war is a game!) and one of the magazine's writers pointed that out and said he was glad the @#$%^&*?!!! was dead!

That shot was taken by Robert Furlong. Here is a video from the History channel about the incident.

and if it is, I hope he ain't stupid enough to plaster his name all over the web. These guys do have families you know, and the "Enemy" also know how to use computers.

I didn't think they'd be able to resist publishing it.

He's in the Guinness Records Book, and even Wikipedia has a page on him.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Harrison_(sniper) Can't get this to go direct to the page, but from here click on the top suggestion.

The Daily Mail has splashed his name and picture in the paper and on their website. Their article is actually saying how stupid it was for the MoD to put out the details, but they still put his name and picture in the article.

I dare say he and his family will have to change their names and live in secured accommodation for the foreseeable future.

Glad I didn't break any records, but I only used an AR-10.

Johnny.
