USS Zumwalt DDG 1000
next project and another i have to sart over on. The latest in new gen stealth destroyer for U.S. from what i have gathered 3 are being built and 29 are being cancelled. of interest is the hide away 155mm liquid cooled canons that fire rocket assisted, extended range shells.

It will be interesting to see what you come up with on this one Trent. If it's anything like your other classified ships and subs it will be fun to watch and speculate.

while there are some surprisingly good pictures available, i have been unable to find certain details. such as the roof and stacks, pretty much any deck gadgets, anchor. though i suspect for stealth reasons they are internal. they are also very protective about showing the arrangement of the vls bays. so im afraid some of this will be subjective.

yea i saw that one. As i dont think any of these ships has been fully outfitted and ready for service yet, theres not much out there other than construction shots. and i dont want a model full of tents, scaffolds, and porta potties. so its gonna be pretty clean of greebles. ill use this as an exercise in paint.

im looking at the plastic kits to see how they resolved some of the details. but they differ between them so they are guessing as well.
