The design style is somewhat reminiscant of the Hasegawa egg-planes.

Primary airframe completed

Got all the big pieces done, and assembled. All that's left are the little antennae and pod, and the weapons.

This build has taken me a bit longer than expected. I think I may set it aside for a while to work on a a couple other things, but I don't foresee any issues with the weapons. I'd say that the two minor issues that I mentioned in my previous post would be the only things to touch up and this model is ready for release.

Let me know if you need anything else Trent. Great work!

Very nice, I think the models looks great. The only thing I don't like is the pilot in the cockpit, I prefer a just a clean canopy.

Any news on this one? The design looks good. Do you plan to release this for sale or was it just a one-off for yourself? I would really be interested in getting a copy of this at some point. Thank you.

Well, heres what I ended up with...

As you can see, made a few changes to the model in colour and markings.
I found a few parts a little tricky, mainly the build and attachment of the wing components
...as was indicated before, the wing parts need a bit of tweaking to get them together (my build skills are not as good as cmags!)
but I also had difficulty attaching the assembled wings to plane.

Since there are no real instructions, and its a cartoon version of this aircraft, there is no real indication of where the wings should attach.
I ended up finding a good visual location and then I used wooden dowels (through the fuselage) to position and support the front and rear wings.

Most obvious changes I made are to colour (I found the original a little too "dirty" and I decided to lose the shark jaws) and I also created a whole new gattling gun. (Some of the A-10s have chromed guns, so I went with that)

I also created a "saddle" to attach the engine pods to the fuselage. Once again, there is no indication of exactly where to attach the engines and I just couldn't get the support piece to sit properly or hold long enough to support the oversized engine. My little saddle, attaches the two wings together (with tabs inside the support pylons) and then hangs the entire engine structure on the back of the fuselage. It was very quick and easy to install. I just wish I had thought of it while printing the model pages...then I could have created it with the same printed colours. (I used art markers to colour some cardstock instead)

Yes! the engine exhaust ducts are upside down!...I forgot to repair the colouring error on these ducts before printing, but I also found that when installed correctly, the paper seams are showing at the top. I didn't like this idea, so I just turned the ducts over and installed them with the better colour side showing and no seam! hey...its a cartoon right? everything else is whacky, so why not have the engine ducts angle down instead of up? lol

Very nice. I like you colors, this is a toy model so I think some "brilliant" color is better suited.

I want this model !!!

PLPT????
wouldn't a more correct spelling be PPTHHPTHPFFTHPPPT?
or....are you ....small?

They've got a little test they give you; it's a balloon, and if you can get inside of it, they know... you're small.
