Not to mention most of my betabuilders don't build at the designed scale either. Both Pericles and Sidewinder reduce them (I think Sidewinder reduces to about 1:3000 or something like that).

Just make sure your microscope lens is clean when you take the pictures.

Which reminds me. I need to finish that spreadsheet that has the reductions to make all the models the same scale.

Some questions about add-ons have come up. When it comes to weaponry, I've got quite a few missiles, bombs, wing tanks and rocket pods spread throughout. Don't be afraid to mix and match.

I'm happy with your glue strips ruling cMags. I'd much rather build using them.

Here's my Master List. It includes every model, it's scale, and what percentage to reduce to make every thing a common scale (1:87, the scale of the C-141 Skylifter).

Anything that says Beta hasn't been released yet.

Hey Aaron, I've got 2 questions. #1, Do models still in beta stage count? And #2, can we add stuff to a model, such as weapons? (like what i'm doing with a YH-41)

Yes - these are for pictures. However you dont need to build EXACTLY as designed so long as it doesnt majorly change the appearance.

You can use strips - I RARELY build with tabs.
You can make a canopy
you can use those clear propeller disks
you can make an antenna
you can build in a different scale so long as you use ALL parts and have nothing in the pic to show scale - ray can buld better at 1/100th the size than I can at full size....

these are just minor additions and we can clearly note that in the description - anyone that can make the model can do this kind of kit add on themselves

You CANT make a whole interior, kitbash a new variant etc etc this is not something a typical builder can accomplish

Just let common sense be your guide and have fun!
THanks
Chris
p.s. yes, these are to get me pics for the sales pages but its more important to have fun.

Chris types faster than me.

These are my interpretation of Chris's rules:

1: Models must be available to the general public. I'm gonna interpret that to mean the base model, so Beta models probably don't count.

2: This is my own idea; if the weapon is available on another OBP model, have fun.

For some reason, I remember including a minigun on a model somewhere, I just can't remember offhand which one.

I'm gonna gather all the weaponry to a single sheet/ document, and draw up some more, just to make sure there's a good variety.

Spaceman - No you cannot add weapons as that is a pretty large appearance change.

Sounds good. And that would make for a really good idea Aaron, a few sheets of weaponry as add-on's for warbird's and helicopters. I'd defiantly buy it.

Yeah - if that beta gets done and put in the shop several weeks before contest end we can include it

I think if someone made a general weaponry add on pack it would sell rather well
