Thats one nice looking bomber. You did a great job. Its a major accomplishment wrestling a MM kit into such a presentable model.

It looks beautiful, Gerardo! And I can appreciate how fine your craftsmanship is because my Hampden appears to be constructed the same way as your Mitchell, but mine does by any means look as clean and smooth as yours.
I will be interested in how you attached the landing gear to assure that it would be strong enough to support the airplane. Don |

Thank you very much for the words, friends.
Don... I AM SORRY!!! I did not took pictures of how I attached the landing gear. But let me draw a diagram, and I'll post it for you. In the meantime let me tell you (I hope I can explain it clearly) that it is a long wire, not only attached into the engine's former, but I managed to wrap the tip of the wire to one of the cardboard's former. The other end goes down to the wheel. Nah.. .I have to draw you the diagram. |

More for tonight.
The propellers. I always use a wire inside each propeller to: 1) make it sturdy 2) to make it bulgy. Photo 1 shows two propellers with the wire glued to them, and one with the part that goes on the other side. I use those clips to make sure the edges are very well adhered. Photograph 2 shows the complete piece. Note that on each propeller root is a "lock", made of a strip of paper. The tip of the set is not what I expected, it is only a rolled strip. But it look OK from a distance... way distant :D Like the one on number 3. 1. 2. 3. |

My opinion. The kit objective is to have a very nice B-25. It is not intended to build a detailed B-25 though. I'd loved a B-25 model with entire cockpit.
Not many errors. In fact, only the gaps on the wings and the under-cockpit, but that's manageable. Paper is thick. Not very good to make little rolls. If you happen to sweat on the hands like me, be sure to wash them through, or you'll find that paper looses color and sharpness. All in all, I enjoyed this model very much. Thank you, Old Troll. |

And what a finish! That is a very clean, good-looking build. You made and old MM model look better than I thought was possible. I agree with you - we need a detailed B-25 in 1:33/1:32 - maybe 2 or 3 B-25s from the early models to the cannon-carrying late ones!

YAY! Gerardo, this is hard to believe that it's a MM kit. You've done a super job. Congratulations on a job well done!

It looks great, Gerardo! You are a real inspiration.
Thanks for the information on how you assembled the propellors and the landing gear. This is very useful information for me. Don |

Thanks for the messages, friends!
We liked very much the model at home. I just spoke to Mrs. Harth to check on my friend Connie (remember, he was a B-25 pilot), to check on him, he's doing fine now, and hopefully he'll be checking the model at next club's meeting on Sunday. I'll post pics! |
