Oh, Sir! My blushes! Thanks for the kind words - and it's not too late to get in on the fun. You have until the 31st to sample my bargain basement selections at www.oldtroll.com

And I also toast you with my newly poured draught of single malt scotch. Hail Ron! I regret my absence from this huge frolic. I would pull out one of my own Maly's just to "play at home" except I really cannot afford at all to let myself be distracted from the C. Good job there, buddy.

Your mantra, Carl, is "Charlemagne, Cruisers, Charlemagne, Cruisers". Stray not from the golden path (or yellow brick road, if you will) on which you are so gracefully striding. And pay no attention to the Troll behind the curtain!

Sorry - I'm originally from Massachusetts and do not understand English as spoken in most of America - perhaps the correct phrasing is highest-ranking? Regardless, it wil be given appropriate consideration in the scoring of your (currently imaginary) entry. Strangely enough, you are currently the highest scoring of the 13 contestants who have not started a build thread. Keep up the good work!

In the dialect I speak the term "rankest" usually implies the person who performs the most outrageous antisocial acts often mostly involving both alcohol and unattached females - optional on the unattached.

Updated contestant list (annotated) as of 16 JAN (* indicates build thread posted, ** indicates actual evidence of construction in the build thread, *** indicates laminate to 2mm thickness):

boosed** - Handley-Page Hampden
Toddlea** - Mk VI Crusader III
APA-168* - Peter of Gdansk
Darwin* - Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien
John Bowden* - BAe Sea Harrier
shrike* - PWS-A (Avia BH-33)
OldTroll** - Fokker E.V [not a contestant, just a public nuisance]
Sakrison - Unkown substitute for the assigned Nurnberg
dansls1 - Bristol Beaufort (with full antenna array!!)
milenio3 - North American B-25D Mitchell
Tbolter - D4Y4 Suisei
cecil.severs - Supermarine Spitfire Mk. VIII
ShaunGamer - Fokker E.III and/or Sopwith Pup
264ARM - Whirlwind HAS.7
willja67 - Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29
cjwalas - J2M3 Raiden
eatcrow2 - Albatros-Oeffag D.III
rickstef*** - Bell AH-1S Cobra

Declared Observers
Moshe - A-10 Thunderbolt II
popala - handed off Beaufort to dansls1
non-member - Hawker Typhoon

Pay no attention to the order as it has everything to do with the current (unofficial) standings. For those who have just returned to planet Earth, it is not too late to make a qualifying purchase and join the fun. See the beginning of this thread and then go to www.oldtroll.com. There are plenty of desirable models still available and at least one more Indian Head Cent.
