Great job!

A little more progress. Tail feathers went together without any worries, guns are installed and prop and spinner built.

I really like the added bit of texture that he raised fairing strip down the side gives.

On to the upper wing.

Back to griping about the paper. It doesn't really like to make smooth bends either, altho' as thin as the airfoil is on this plane I suppose that's not fair. The wing is only about 4mm thick, so the leading edge is a pretty sharp radius.

I really like the way the designer set the insignia on the edge of the tapered outer wing sections. One fewer thing to worry about on alignment. I still managed to build a minor twist into one tip. Not much of one, but the big square insignia tend to exaggerate it to my eyes. Also a little bit of optical illusion with the contrast of the red and white.

Thanks for the fulsome praise all.
I think I just lucked out in drawing this kit. While we've all had paper related issues, I haven't had any but the tiniest of fit adjustments required. Everything has fit much better than I was dreading (shouldn't say that before embarking on interplane struts, should I?)

The impression I get from all of these build threads isn't that the kits, or rather the designs, are inherently bad, but that most of them suffer from a lack of attention to detail. I seems that many of the designs were rushed out against a deadline and could have used a good solid beta build. On those that are re-releases of previous kits there isn't much of an excuse tho'.

Mały's recent kits have been quite nice, and I think they could redeem themselves in the eyes of many by taking a page from Fly's book and taking the time to redraw and tighten up some of the better older kits and release them on nice paper, or even digitally. A move that, priced correctly, could knock the bottom out of a lot of piracy.

Enough serious discourse.

I thought I should probably stop kibitzing in everybody else's' threads and post something.

I got the bottom wing together. A little bit of trimming here and there and it doesn't look to bad. I'm claiming that the little gap at the inboard edge is actually prototypical and a sterling paragon of verisimilitude (remember folks, we used this word in a sentence!)

Next step is the windscreen. I usually like to do that last, but I think it might be easier to do before getting into struts and such. I'll probably just find that it gets in the way of struts <sigh>.

After that, I suppose it's struts and more struts. At least it's a single bay!
