Rick, you HAVE to make it look like the Dragonfly! To heck with keeping like the original model. If the troll can recolor, so can you! You could even find an old "Wild Bill" figure to put with it.

Progress you say?

sorta kinda maybe

I have been able to glue up the Former pieces to the backing, now to wait for the glue to dry(kinda got heavy handed, and is a little thick)

I have been studying the parts closely, in order to get a handle on what and how I need to build this bird.

definitely a case of what doesn't kill us makes us stronger

Don, pictures would be nice, but there is problem with that, funny as it may seem

it seems that as an admin i am having a hard time to upload stuff, and according to Jason, it has to do with permissions and settings, not wanting either of our accounts to get hacked, and then potentially bad things could happen here.

currently not a lot to take a picture of, but once I start to build, I will take pictures and upload them to my picasa web album

Rick

I see how you did that!
"You do not need to see pictures" "This is not the build thread you are looking for".

Your Jedi mind tricks do not work on us Rick!
Although you should get bonus points for trying it!

Glad to hear you are making progress though, can't wait to see you build this one!

Hi all,

I thought I would show off some of the work I have been doing, since my last post.

Picture of formers on the cardboard

And once I started cutting I ended with a whole bunch of smaller bits.

I am making progress, as you can see, I have the tail and the last fuselage formers attached, also on the last former is the first of two exhaust formers.

More to come as always

hey folks,

I am in need of some help.
And in full disclosure, this is my very first kit of this kind EVER

I am plugging away on the cobra, and I am dealing with the skins that go under the cockpits

As I trying to wrap the skin around the formers I am ending up with a gap between the top of the cockpit, and the top of the skin, about an eight of an inch.

Now the question would be, do I sand down the former enough in order to make up the difference, and get the skin to fit flush against the cockpit parts?
