Repaint: Kampfflieger Bristol Scout C
I am finishing up two repaints of Roman's Bristol Scout C in RNAS colors.
The first is a recolor and correction of his serial 1255 to show it in the early red/white roundels and pale grey metal panels. I changed the clear doped linen (CDL) color to a pale greyish buff rather than the yellow shade more characteristic of French aircraft. The second represents an aircraft with markings almost in accordance with the revised regulations of late 1915. These will be going to Chris in the next day or so and (with Roman's approval) should appear in the store shortly thereafter. |

Good work, Ron! I'll be glad to purchase these.
As the WWI RNAS sidebar of my U.S. Army 1919-1940 mechanization project proceeds, I hope to learn more about exactly which RNAS armored cars were operating with which RNAS aircraft in what colors in hopes of a 1/48 diorama. May be scope for more recoloring operations. Don |
