I have the Canon rose, but it doesn't come close to the elegance of the one you designed... key word being elegant.

I have an idea of how to do the curved petal, but it involves treating the petal as a separate radial segment which is then rolled into its characteristic curvature. Then, glue it to the petal base.

I'll beta test it for you if you want to try to develop it. In fact, I can do some profiles in AutoCad if you like.

hi :D
I'm new here, so I'm discovering every corner of this forum step by step and I found this beautiful thread only a couple fo minutes ago! if you don't mind I'd like to share some of my paper roses with you

well, maybe I cheated a bit, because those are origami roses :o but the "raw material" is the same ... paper...
sorry for the bad quality photos, specially the second one, but if you like them I'll get another couple of shots in the daylight

How did you do the Origami roses; pattern? Nicely done. Were they difficult? I wouldn't mind doing those for my wife.

Oh, I miss the caveman days, when you could club your prospect and simply drag her back to your cave...no flowers, no chocolate, no expensive dinner...:p Now THAT was courting!!!
(there's a different word for that today).lol

hi!
well, I folded them using kawasaki's pattern found on a website (in reality that pattern was a bit modified from the real one but, IMO, improved. ah, attention, it was the first version, NOT the second edition). just tried to link that site for you, but it seems to be no more online. anyway I have a copy somewhere in my pc... in case pm me

Hey Phil...

What do you mean you miss those days? Has something changed recently?

[ie; no time for paper building....]
