i build the same way as yourself. there is nothing worse when after doin all the building in 'thin paper 80/200 ect, after proudly hanging it up and the air moisture gets to it! does'nt look good then does it. i use all sorts of filler for mine but your mention of 'spray putty' was a good one it really smooths out the whole project. got a tin sat next to me now. thanks for the tip and full credit on the thomson. guns of this caliber 'mind the pun' would be better posted in ' the armoury' for like minded viewing. i nearly missed it. i certainly am looking forward to more of your quality builds.

MM You are the king of weapons builds, the results are incredible. You should build DarkAntz M200 sniper rifle, I built this a few moths ago (altho not nearly to you'r level) it was quite a challenge, I wanted to take a break from rocket building and try my hand at something different, I'm currently sitting on Judge Dread's pistol but holding off because I know it's going to eat some ink cartridges.
