1890 wells concord stagecoach

Hi all !

here is my "1890 WELLS CONCORD STAGECOACH" from Paperdiorama.
The modele is 1:35 scale.
It is a correct basis. I printed it at 1:30 scale by personal choice.
And even at this scale it is quite small because its measurments are only 11 x 8 x 6 cm (4.30 x 3.10 x 2.4 in).
When we look some photos on the web, we realize that we can add to the model a lot of parts and details wich are not on the sheets in order to make it quite realistic.
To do so, i searched documentation on the web: plans and photos are amply available.
Here are my modifications:
First, i worked on the thikness of many parts of the body (paper lamination), addition of the coupling train with its rings, its chains and its axles, to build the roof rack and the the side footboards i used brass wire of 0.6mm and 0.8mm , doubling of the leather cover of the rear trunk and addition of various straps, addition of the footboard of this trunk.
The lanterns, which are also absent, were made with transparent plastic foil and balsa.
I also printed some suitcases found on the web and highlighted several details.
I could have extended the list, but the result seemed satisfactory to me.
I did not want to use the nice original decor specific to the style of paperdiorama, I prefered to create my personal support.

A great looking stagecoach. You did a nice job on it. A lot of nice detailing.

That came out great! The extra detailing you've done to the basic model has really turned it into a museum piece. Terrific!

Beautiful work, and an excellent diorama evocative of the Old West.

Very nice. I keep hearing some Ennio Morricone music playing in my mind when I look at those pics.

I really liked the model 'as posted on the site', but you have really taken it to the next level. Top notch work

You can tell when a model is nicely built...it looks three times bigger than its actual scale size!
I can't believe its only 4 inches long!
