Canon animals
After each section of the ABC town, I need a change for a few days.
It can't be too complicated and it helps if it's different from buildings. I went through my downloads and found two kits that looked interesting. It wasn't until I had made them that I decided to put them together - an encounter that's only possible in paper ;-))) Cheers Mike |

Now it makes me wonder if a kingfisher has ever grabbed a small mammal, or maybe a small reptile.
Nice display, though.

Technically, a Kookaburra is a kingfisher and they're well known for grabbing snakes. And sausages from BBQs.

Many birds take advantage of opportunities. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that has happened some time

Those Canon models look so good, don't they? I made the same mouse some time ago, and hid it in a kitchen cupboard for my other half to discover. It went down a lot better than you might imagine.

Kingfishers are generally tiny.
They will take other prey - small lizards, the odd insect etc. But the prey needs to be swallowable in one piece. Woodland Kingfishers here are quite large and I have often seen them take small lizards. A mouse is way too big and uneatable! Let's just Mikes model is a meeting of friends rather than protagonists!

Kevin,
They are just good friends! The kingfisher is half the size of the Canon kit. So neither are full scale. Cheers Mike |
