1:1 scale Meat Slicer

Every conceivable type of paper & frustration level to complete this in 1985. Sadly the model no longer exists, but the memories of the process & some invaluable learning along the way remains. These are scans of old photos.

Cheers

That is certainly a unique subject for a model

Bahahahahahaha. Wish I still had it, it was for a college project back then.

Hi All,

And hi, AP40rocktruck.

This is why I enjoy paper modeling so much. Your can build virtually anything out of paper.

It looks like a mid-century MagicHostess meat cutter. Here's a YouTube video: MagicHostess - YouTube

I particularly like the giant thumb print on the cutting wheel in the second photograph.

Thanks for sharing your old college project.

Score and fold,

Thumb Dog

Interesting photo, the meat slicer i modeled was a newer version, where the legs had a cross sectional I beam structure. Someplace i have more views of it, just need to be scanned.

Cheers

Splendid idea!

Exactly, I have similar early memories regarding the very first paper models glued by me, made from scratch, however no photo survived. They were Husqvarna chainsaws PS-180 and PS-190 and the pine tree trunk sliced into drums. So I agree with ThumbDog:
