This is different. I like it. On another forum someone did a build of a harpsichord but not in this scale nor detail. Lovely.

A wonderful project to get involved in, and it's looking so sweet already.

Canon puts out some amazing models for download. You are doing a wonderful job on this piano!
What did you mean by "filling the internal space with tissue paper"? I hadn't heard of this.

Best regards,
Kurt

I gently push small stripes of soft paper, like toilet paper or tissue, in the empty space inside a part to give it more strength. I do that just before gluing the last open tab. In this way, parts having supporting role, like the legs, or being wide and thin, like the keyboard, are more resistant to crushing.
I learned the trick by Kevin WS.

Interesting, I'll keep that tissue paper trick in mind for the future.
Thanks,
Kurt

Completed piano

Here it is, in all its majesty!
It's a looong way to perfection, but I am quite satisfied with the result.

As a finale, a small tribute

This is a short video I edited to show the characteristics of the model...
... plus a little tribute!

Enjoy listening!

I compressed it as a zip file, in order to upload it as attachment, because the format MP4 is not allowed and I didn't want to copy a link to some external repository.

Nice work. How big is the model? It looks a bit bigger than my hand.
