Nothing's 1851 Navy

Sorry I dont have build pics of this one but my cam went foxtrot uniform on me and I still havent gotten a new one yet. Just borrowed one to get a shot of the finished model. This is the standard unmodified kit (I love Mousemuffins' work but I just dont have the patience to build to that level of awesomeness). I Think it came out rather well anyway.

Nice build. I have this and the 1911, but they look a bit intimidating for my skills - especially the 1911. Did you use or remove the tabs from the very thin or small parts when assembling?

I used the tabs for the most part except for tube caps, and boxes.

Nice, I especially like the way that the case hardening is simulated.

Will you mount it on the wall? Looks like it should be. BTW, consider giving the handle a gloss coat and the metal parts a semi-gloss. The semi-gloss will simulate protective oil. Fool everybody even more!
