Looking good! That hat is made just the way a real one would be and looks great. I used to use the same method for making trees back when I used to build model railroad sets with my dad as a kid. We'd start with a piece of stranded cable and twist pieces out instead of creating pieces and attach them back to the trunk though.

With a little acrylic paint I made grass with print paper With 2 soldiers scale 1/35

Hey tunny! I just found this thread and I'm just blown away at the skill used with the most simple materials. The hat is a masterpiece in itself.
