Pirate Forum thieves!

In the past i have tried stopping piracy of my designs limiting uploads the here and one other respected site.

To my Utter disgust a certain supposed respectable sci fi model website i find a senior administrator/ user has stolen my design from here for the USS Enterprise 1:200 scale and uploaded it without consent. When i lodge an objection and request its removal i get a permanent ban from the forum in return. Am very tempted to follow UHU02 and remove everything of mine to my own site and restrict access to stop this abuse in future!!!

Beyond pissed off with this latest development in piracy, when i get screwed over i at least expect a cuddle afterwards! !!!!!!!

I am so sorry, sir. At least report him to the Admin's here so that he can be banned.

When you can't trust the Administration, it is almost like being in the U.S.

My I suggest that you give us at address for this site and request that as a group we send a polite email stating that we feel that pirating models is not acceptable. I would assume that after receiving a few hundred emails he my get the point.

if nothing else in the end you do get the satisfaction that a follow modeler did have a lot of enjoyment building your design.

Nice to know that when you protect your own intellectual capital you get banned for no reason. It has been suggested i give out the website admin email address so they can be bombarded with emails about their piracy practices and that is very tempting!!! Bastards!!!!

Your designs were pirated (copied/shared on a forum that you are a member of).
And this was done without your permission.

So you complained.

And the forum banned you for complaining?

I would say that forum isn't worth being part of anyway.
If the staff/management are like that, thats a great reason to avoid the site.

Make sure your file shares have been properly removed.

It would be good to know which forum is the culprit if only so we can avoid supporting it. If it is one that I belong to, I would be more than happy to send an email to the admin. And I agree with Jim: If enough people piddle on his carpet, he just might get the message.

Unfortunately, we have pirates in our midst, and they would be very appreciative if we posted a forum that hankers to their kind.

If legal01 wants to PM the site and email info to those who request it in this thread, he can. Otherwise, I don't think it wise to 'advertise' them here. Please don't PM legal01 for the info. Does he really need to get blasted with PM's? It would just rub salt in the wound.

It is in the signature block at the bottom of the email that Legal got.. i.e. SFMA If you google for that term with the word 'model' you should find it OK...
