John,
I couldn't get onto the websitetoolbox site - it's just a log on screen. But your drawings are really and truly incredible. How do I purchase one, especially a Bearcat - that is one of my absolute favorite planes ever. (Just got back from a nice trip to the USS Lexington and thinking a lot lately about Naval aircraft and how beautiful they are).

Thanks again guys..........
Sorry about the link, but to see these guys work, it's worth the trouble of signing up. cjwalas.... Look into InkScape, it's free and really not too difficult to get used to drawing with the mouse. Being able to zoom in and actually manipulate the line at the pixel level makes it pretty easy to get good results. Also because it's vectored there are no jaggies......... john |

John,
It may be considered old fashioned but your very elegant graphics, would be idealy suited to either Giclee or Silkscreen printing. This would add to the already high quality.Great stuff ! |

Thanks for all the good words!
Stone... I thought about trying to silkscreen some shirts. My wife minored in art and had all kinds of classes including silk screening. I learned allot helping her, funny thing... I remember more about it than she does! P.S. Don't tell her:p |

If your thinking of doing shirts, there is a way without the bother of silkscreening.
Most big printerpaper manufacturers have an iron-on variant. You print in mirror image and iron it on T-shirt or kerchief. The result is washable. Quite a lot of copyshops do this as well, at least in europe. Regards, Serge A chain called DYNABITE makes a variant called transferpaper for HP,CANON,EPSON and XEROX.As the instructions for use are also in French, you might be able to get it from Canada. Their Dutch website is www.DYNABITE.NL S. |

John, Have you trace line yourself or use inkscape to do for you?

Hey Nobi....
No, It's all me. All I use InkScape for is to draw the lines. I tried this in PhotoShop, but could not lay lines down very easily. Inkscape allows me to use the line tool just like a pencil. If I draw a curve that's not quit right I can zoom in and add points to it to make the curve more pleasing. Stone... We have iron sheets over here, I haven't taken the time to give it a try. But... now my curiousity has been peaked I'll have to give it a go! Thanks! |
