1-72 Scale Flight-Deck

Hello Friends,

Someone mentioned in another thread about creating a 72 scale Japanese aircraft carrier flight deck. In a previous modelling life, I created one for HMS Ark Royal so that my buddy Steve and I could display out extensive collection of Fleet Air Arm models. The pics were taken at the Scottish Nationals in Perth and we will be displaying there again this year (along with more paper).

Enjoy,

Bernie

Cheers Bf,
The deck was made from hardboard over a wooden frame and made in sections for ease of storage and transportation, then painted with household emulsions.

A while back I also ran into someone who took 19 years to build the USS Enterprise. It is also another huge undertaking. The good thing about yours, is that you can take it apart and move it around easily. His is so large that you would need to take a wall down if he ever moved it. Bernie, that is an excellent display and quite a collection of aircraft. Very well done.
