Sculptures

Here is my other current main hobby, sculpting. The big one was made with Premo and the little one was done with Magic Sculpt, which is an epoxy putty, similar to Milliput but not quite so brittle when cured.

The one made from Premo was painted with Genesis heat set paints and the other one was painted with oils and alkyds.

Very nice indeed.

If you aren't yet, you should consider pulling moulds setting up to cast copies

Very nice Jim. That's some great small detail work. I see how this and your ship modeling go well together. :D

I'll second Strike's suggestion. Those are really nice.

The figures look great, Jim. I've done a fair bit of sculpting myself over the years. Very nice texturing on these. A great other hobby you've got there!

You are an exceptionally talented person, Jim. These are outstanding in terms of craft and they are also very appealing and attractive.

Thanks for the compliments! On these two, I won't make molds because I'd have to cut them apart in order to do so. I am planning on casting the next one though. I've got a vulcanizer, spin casting equipment and 50 lbs of pewter that I'm itching to learn how to use. I've only used RTV before.

As always though, time gets in the way and paper models along with more work at the job have eaten into my sculpting time
