Snap-fit DC-3
A friend who flies polar support for the New York Air Guard operated in northern Canada alongside some of the aircraft of Buffalo Airways, and sent me a snap-together desktop display model of one of Buffalo's aircraft, an ex-military C-47, as a Christmas present.
It's a simple 14-piece model of strong plastic- fuselage, tail feathers, wings, engines, props and hubs, main landing gear, and tailwheel. All parts snap into molded slots. A stand is also provided. Here she is: |

They've got a couple, and one of them supposedly has a D-Day pedigree, flying with the RCAF. I don't know if that's this one. Buffalo's own website makes no mention of it in the descriptions of their DC-3/C-47 fleet.

Caption for a pic of another one of their planes mentions it was built 1942 for USAAF but that's as much as I've come across while skimming through the pics just now.

According to the package, this particular airplane served with No. 312 Squadron on D-Day, with the service serial KG330.
