Thanks guys.
@Bob, hope this answers your question about spinning props. OBP Planes/Murph's Models in 1/72 There are two long parts and a third but short part as conclusion. Hope they will give you some ideas or inspiration about making props spin. |

No.31, Murph's FW-190, scaled at 1/33
So, what's up for No.31.................Murphis FW-190 scaled at 1/33, made out of Jolly Shandy cans, with a simple illustration of making spinning props without text. For details of the spinning prop, see post #363 on this thread.

Wow papermate, that's a lot of work on the prop there! But that's okay. If you've built with cans long enough then you've experimented with sophisticated props, moving control surfaces, instrument panels and even lighting kits. I call that style of building CQB, or competition quality builds. Reminds me of my years competing with soda can models in IPMS competitions. And what I learned was that sometimes going the extra mile is the difference between first and second place...

Thanks, Gman. To be honest, I can only go as far as spinning props and nothing more.
Moving control surfaces etc are really beyond my skills. |

Great job papermate.Moving prop method is almost the same as mine when I cared about props.Today I usually make them movable but firm enough in engine so they don't get lost.I use rolled paper tubes of varying diameters. They fit well, rotate and still have enough friction to stay in place. Best of all I can make them any diameter I need.
