Hey, I'm not here to apologize for plastic! I actually haven't built a plastic model in about 30 years. I just couldn't wait any longer for the Tu-95.

No apology needed - as long as you do it well and bring pictures ...

Considering the large number of Russian and other Eastern European subjects availbale in paper, I'm surprised that there is a range of Tu-95 variants in a range of scales...I think that the closest there has been is a Maly Modelarz Tu-114 (the airliner version) in 1/70(?)....

Do not feel so bad. I buy some Russia ships and a tank I find (they come in Cyrillic boxes) I had thought it was a puzzle.

It's ok. I have been known to work with p*****c occasionally myself either before I discovered paper or If I can't find a paper representation of a subject.
here are some pics of a F2H Banshee, F-102 Delta Dagger, and F-105 Thunderchief in 1:48. I also have 1:48 F-4B Phantom and F-101B Voodoo partially completed sitting in a closet somewhere and a 1:25 1929 Ford Model-A pickup still in the box.

A TU-95 from FS2002. There is a Russian site that probably has scale drawings but it is down at the moment.

I totally agree. It's hard to even find a model of the tu-114. the only ones i know are modelars"s,which has horrible print quality, and kranichs, which i doubt is any better.im trying to digitally re-master modelarz's,if ya want i'll put it up here.
