Exclamation Excuse me for buy p*****c models!

Yes, it's true. I got tired of waiting for a Tu-95 in paper so I bought the Trumpeter 1/72 Tu-95 Bear H. My other favorite Soviet aircraft is the Tu-16 Badger, so I bought that one, too. Not sure when I'll build these, but I wanted to get them while they're still available. So as I said, forgive me for blaspheming, but no one's making these in paper! :o

We've been begging Nobi to do one and last I looked it was the number one requested model on his blog. So yes, I'd still buy a paper Tu-95 paper model.

I've been petitioning Nobi for a "Bear" for quite some time (using the poll he had on his site a while back), although I truly appreciate his limited schedule and other projects he has undertaken over the years.

It would be nice if someone could tackle this project as it would seem it's a subject ignored by the paper modeling community for some time that would probably do well if offered. I'm more into ship models and true modern full container ships have also been ignored for a while, although I've seen a few offerings pop up here and there recently, such as the JSC models of the Mary Artica and their recent EUGENIUSZ KWIATOWSKI/GDANSK (JSC 099), although neither is what I would consider a good representation of a fully dedictated container ship of the size commonly seen in the ports of the world. I note that Revell is coming out with what seems to be a nice model of the Hapag Lloyd Colombus Express, but that is ... ... plastic!

One can only hope that a "Bear" will also be available at some point in the near future. Maybe Chris can find someone to tackle it?

Cheers!
Jim

P*****c ??

BARX,
It's all altered carbon anyway. It's just that the naturally nano-engineered carbon fiber models come in a greater variety, are easier to modify, have better graphics (don't need painting), are cheaper, are easier to build from scratch, and are recyclable - unlike the cross linked, hydrogenated, and polymerized carbon versions.

But do what makes you happy ...

Yogi
